We have classes when you need them the most including all holidays.

Bikram Yoga is a disciplined and professional practice.
Please arrive to class on time and stay for the entire class.
Late arrivals and early departures will not be allowed for the consideration of others in class and for the respect of your practice.

Childcare is available Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 10 am for ages 6 months through 12 years old. There is limited space. Childcare is on a first come basis. Please bring a "pack-and-play" for very young children and babies. We cannot care for your children in our lobby when you come for other classes. Children who are 12 and older may attend class with a parent.

Youth Yoga classes take place every Sunday at 12 pm for ages 5-12 for $5 per class or $15 per month. It is preferred that the child take class while their parent/guardian is in the noon Bikram Yoga class.

If you are new to Bikram Yoga, please come take class. This posture talk is intended for people who have been practicing for a while and have additional questions. Our Bikram's Beginner Yoga Class is excellent for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Extended Series Practice is a series of 84 asanas from the Bishnu Ghosh (Bikram's Guru) lineage. Actually, 26 of those asanas make up the Bikram Yoga for Beginner's class. You can catch us at Yogagoove on Sunday 2:00 pm doing our best to try every posture - yes, all 84! The Wednesday nights at 8:15 pm class is a good class to try out as a very first timer to extended practice. On Sundays, we start with the first section of Bikram's Advanced Asana Series. This includes Salutes to the Gods and Goddesses, Sun Salutations, and a flow of postures for the first 45 minutes. This first part of class is our warm up. The next half of class we pick a group of postures from the 84 to focus on. These postures/asanas may be considered more difficult; from deeper backbends to strength poses, which require intense concentration and balance. We allow time to learn the techniques required to do these these postures as well as a chance to develop skill through repetition. This class is different, fun and allows you to explore something new.

Yogagroove's Competition Team is led by seasoned yoga champion, Susan Anderson, who has competed on the national level 3 times and was the Texas Yoga Asana Championship two years in a row. She placed 6th in the very first world yoga competition. Students travel from all over to study with her. Join us to practice, teach and share in the wonder of health and well-being that is Bikram Yoga. In order to train for the competition, our team meets twice weekly. Meditation Class: Each class will introduce an aspect of the philosophy of meditation primarily from South Asian perspectives followed by group meditation. We will explore some texts and meditation practices described in them. Come and enjoy an informative, refreshing practice!
When: Sundays at 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

What to wear: Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes keeping in mind the studio will remain fairly warm.
What to bring: Something comfortable to sit on and yourself just as you are!
(Optional: a notebook and pen/pencil for reflections)

About the Teacher: Christian Current is a longtime practitioner and student of yoga, meditation, world religion, and holistic health. In addition to having completed numerous yoga and meditation trainings, Christian holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion and an MA in Religious Studies. He is currently completing a PhD focusing on South Asian religion, healing and Sanskrit at the University of Texas at Austin. He has taught and led meditation and mindfulness-based movement exercises at several universities, yoga schools and retreats. Christian's passions include Yoga Philosophy, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Polarity Therapy, dynamic self-expression and travel. His teaching style reflects his passions and experience with a wide range of cultures. He practices Bikram Yoga at Yogagroove.
